Eagle River Snowmobile Derby
January - This annual event is what makes Eagle River famous and why it is called the Snowmobile Capital of the World. A huge event for sledders consisting of ten days of racing, including vintage sled racing. Enjoy the Northwoods in the winter. Come to the World Championship Snowmobile Derby and learn a whole new reason to love the snow.

Eagle River - Klondike Days
February (3rd weekend) - It's usually about February when cabin fever is at it's peak and you're dying to get out, stretch the legs and do something outside. It's is for that reason the winter festival called Klongike Days was founded.
The festival features a Native American Cultural Exposition, a Championship Dog Weight Pull, a one- and two-horse Log Pull, a lumberjack competition, a chain-saw carving competition and a craft show. Hours of operation are 9-4 Saturday and Sunday.
This is a great winter festival and something great to do in the middle of winter.
