Lake of the Torches Resort and Casino
Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin
Lake of the Torches Resort and
Casino is owned and operated
by the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. It began
in 1970
as a bingo hall, and in the 1980s the casino was moved to Lac du
Flambeau with
slot machines and blackjack being added. In 2002 a water recreation
area was
added that offers a kiddie pool, whirlpool, sauna, plus a full-sized
pool with water
sports and bubble benches.
The
casino offers 24 hour gaming with
800 slots and 12
blackjack tables. You can play high-stakes Bingo every night of the
week except
Monday and Tuesday. The Hall of Nations Convention Center will
accommodate as
many as 800 people in theater-style seating or table seating for
dinner.
While you're there, you can stay in
one of the 100 hotel
rooms, all of which feature satellite television, high-speed Internet
connection, coffee pots, ironing boards, hair dryers and deluxe
spacious
bathrooms. Dine in the Eagle's Nest Restaurant and visit
the Bucktail
Lounge or Dancing Waters Lounge. They feature live
entertainment and if you
become a Torchlight Club member, you'll earn rewards like
dining and lodging
comps.
I
recently made a quick stop by the Lake of the Torches and
was impressed by the friendly staff, nicely designed casino and
pleasant
atmosphere. The Eagle's Nest buffet looked scrumptious and I
noticed
the price
was quite reasonable – only $8.95.
Did you know there is an airport
in
Rhinelander? Just 45 minutes away - click here to check
airfare
to Rhinelander airport.
Lake of the Torches runs many promotions and packages and
even offers shuttle service. It's a nice place and if
you ever
visit my
sister's cabin, this casino is just a short drive away. You'll want
definitely
to come for a visit and support the Lac du Flambeau tribe while having
a good
time. In fact the entire Lac du Flambeau area is a must-see if you're
in the
Minocqua area.
You can checkout
upcoming entertainment, featured promotions, make reservations, etc.,

their website. Click here to go there.
