Milwaukee Wisconsin

Milwaukee Art MuseumMilwaukee Wisconsin ranks up there as a favorite town for my husband and me. With neighborhoods of German, Czech, Polish, Italian and more, it is a city with European origins that exhibits an array of cultures and traditions. In addition, the mills, canneries and breweries tell the story of Milwaukee's rich manufacturing history. Combine these factors with modern developments and a proximity to Lake Michigan and you will find a city with a unique look and feel, not to mention a diverse blend of educational and entertainment-oriented attractions to visit.

The rich European heritage is evident at festivals like Irish Fest Milwaukee, while people travel for miles around to attend the world's largest musical event called Summerfest Milwaukee, which is held each year. No matter what time of year, many enjoy taking in a show at the Riverside Theater or Pabst Theatre Milwaukee, each boasting acts like Neil Young, Squeeze, Dave Koz, Natalie Merchant, Willie Nelson and much, much more.

Milwaukee WisconsinSome of the more traditional attractions include the lakefront's Milwaukee Air Show, taking in a game at the Milwaukee Brewers Stadium (now at Miller Stadium), the Milwaukee Zoo or the Milwaukee Museum. And besides shopping, there is incredible dining and fabulous hotels to keep well-fed and rested while you take in all the sites.

There is so much to do here, you will need to return often to enjoy all there is or like some, make it a frequent getaway for long weekends or vacations. Located just a few hours from Chicago and at a very drivable distance from neighboring states, there are fun places to explore no matter what your budget.

In this area of our site, we will present the events and attractions that make this town the great destination that it is. And show that whether you camp or stay in a hotel or a rustic cabin, there is always something to do in the area. In fact, with such diversity, you might consider it one of your a favorite towns, just like my husband and me.
