This is the Northwoods and that aspect alone will make your getaway like venturing to a different world. At the Goeke Cabins, the deer roam freely through the yard, which is an amazing site to see for flatlanders down South. In fact, you can watch the deer while sitting at the kitchen table. They come right up to the window!

Situated 5 miles South of Minocqua, the Goeke cabins are neat, clean and very quiet. They're the kind of place where you can hear the faint sound of motorboats from miles away, or loons calling from the nearby lake. It is very calm and still at the cabins. The air is amazingly clear, which is quite evident because the night sky is full of bright stars and the moon seems much closer.

Depending upon availability, you can choose between chalet-style Cabin #1 and Country French-style Cabin #2. Both are beautiful, full-size houses. Cabin #1 even has a pool table and washer/dryer. Modern kitchen appliances like microwave and dishwasher make these getaway cabin like home away from home. You certainly will not be roughing it.

There is the tranquil ambiance of the forest and wildlife all around, making your stay very private and peaceful anytime of year.
