Wisconsin Camping
Find a Campground in Wisconsin now Wisconsin camping is definitely a great way to create your own Wisconsin getaway. If you're like me, you look forward to getting out, stretching your legs, getting some fresh air into your lungs and rubbing elbows with the local wildlife. Speaking of which, Wisconsin has a wide variety of such critters, including birds, which we will delve into soon on this site. Because my roots are from an area close to Southern Wisconsin, I am very familiar with the long, gray winters the Midwest is subjected to. The snow is beautiful, but after about 4-5 months, enough is enough. I would always anticipate the coming of spring and venture out to see the incredible birds in their mating plummage as they returned north as early as possible. With field glasses in one hand and a bird guide in the other, I found intense pleasure in seeking out and identifying the myriad creatures that returned near the lakes, fields and streams in our area as the snow receded. I'm sure I'm not alone in this passion. For that reason, I hope to soon bring more of that information to this site. | Besides birding, camping in Wisconsin is one of the best places in the country where one can get out and experience natural areas, escaping the civilized world and at cost that is virtually next to nothing. Whether you're pitching a tent or towing an RV, there's nothing like a campfire or fishing right at your campsite at a stream's edge or a lake's shore. Nothing. And until I moved away, I never realized how valuable those experiences are. Places like the incredible sites in Wisconsin just don't exist, or else they can be overrun with tourists which tends to ruin the natural elements found at a Wisconsin campsite.Because of my love for the outdoors and Wisconsin's natural environment, I am including this section on Wisconsin camping as a supplement to the other features on this site. After all, a Wisconsin getaway is just as enjoyable in a tent as it is in a cabin (or hotel). It just depends upon your tastes. Some appreciate being outdoors, others will not leave home without the comforts of it. Therefore, please utilize this site to locate and plan your own Wisconsin vacation - whatever it will be. You don't have to be a kid to love a marshmallow on a stick or sleeping under the stars. To me, there's nothing better than camping in Wisconsin and believe me, I am no kid. Well, at least in age.
